Henry Thurstan Holland

Politician. Son of Henry Holland and his first wife, Margaret Emma Caldwell. BA, Cambridge, 1847. Called to the bar (Inner Temple), 1849. MP, 1874–88. Colonial secretary, 1887–92. Succeeded his father as second baronet, 1873. Created Baron Knutsford, 1888; Viscount, 1895. Knighted, 1888.
