John Hanmer, 3d baronet and 1st Baron Hanmer of Hanmer and Flint

Politician. Matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford, in 1827. Conservative MP for Shrewsbury, 1832–7; Hull, 1841–7; Liberal MP for Flint Burghs, 1847–72. Succeeded to the baronetcy in 1828. Created baron, 1872.
