Alexander Falconer
1797–1856
Scottish merchant. Traded in Calcutta, India, and retired to his birth place of Forres, Scotland. Brother of Hugh Falconer. Bequeathed a thousand pounds for the establishment of a public museum of art and science with a library and lecture room in Forres.
