Henry Goadby

Microscopist, anatomist, physician, entomologist, and author. Anatomical assistant, Royal College of Surgeons, London, circa 1841–9. Awarded a gold medal from the Society of Arts for a new method of preparing anatomical preparations, 1841. Lectured in entomology in Albany, New York, 1850–1, and at the newly established Albany University, 1852. Established a private medical practice in Detroit. Professor of animal and vegetable physiology and entomology at Michigan Agricultural College, 1859–60. Fellow of the Linnean Society of London, 1838.
