Hans Busk
1815–82
Lawyer. Founder of volunteer movement and writer on military topics. In 1858 restored vitality to the Victoria Rifles, which became a senior battalion of Britain’s mid-nineteenth-century volunteer movement. Published treatises and gave lectures on volunteer corps, the rifle, and naval construction. High sheriff of Radnorshire, 1847.
