Johannes Eugenius Bülow (Eugenius) Warming
1841–1924
Danish botanist. Worked in Brazil, 1863–6. Adopted a Lamarckian theory of evolution in the 1870s. Founder of plant ecology. Professor of botany, University of Copenhagen, 1886–1911.
