Henry Drummond Charles Wolff

Diplomat and politician. Worked for the Foreign Office from 1846, and arranged for the transfer of the Ionian Islands to Greece in 1864. Conservative MP for Christchurch, 1874–80; Portsmouth, 1880–5. High commissioner in Egypt, 1885–7. Ambassador in Madrid, 1892–1900. Knighted, 1862.
