Dame at Eton College. Daughter of Anne Palgrave and Edward Rigby. Cousin of Maria Turner, Joseph Dalton Hooker’s mother. Baroness de Rosen. Married in 1830 in Earl Framingham, Norfolk, Hans Robert Otto Frederick de Rosen, baron de Rosen of Estonia (1806–87; elder brother of Theophile or Gottlieb Reinhold William de Rosen, Gertrude Rigby’s husband). Separated by 1848. Lived in Eton, Berkshire, 1851, 1861, 1871; Sidmouth, Devon, 1881; died in Biarritz, France.
