Scottish journalist and editor. Reporter for the Dumfries Courier from 1855; subeditor and reporter, 1861; editor and proprietor of the Dumfries and Galloway Courier, 1870–1. Member of the Dumfriesshire and Galloway Natural History and Antiquarian Society.
