Second daughter of Edmund and Emily Caroline Langton. Assumed the name Massingberd following her mother’s inheritance of the Massingberd family estate at Gunby, Lincolnshire, in 1887. Married major-general Hugh Maude de Fellenberg Montgomery in 1894.
