Mary Livingstone
1821–62
Daughter of Robert Moffat, founder of the London Missionary Society’s mission station at Kuruman (now in Northern Cape province, South Africa). Married David Livingstone at Kuruman in 1845. Travelled with her husband in Africa, 1845–52. Lived in England with her children, 1852–6. Returned to Africa in 1858.
