Judge on the Welsh circuit. Of Dolaucothi (or Dolaucothy), Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire. Called to the bar, 1831; county court judge, 1847; recorder, Carmarthen, 1851; chairman of the Quarter Sessions, Carmarthenshire, 1853. County magistrate, Carmarthen, Cardigan, Glamorgan, and Pembroke. Deputy lieutenant, Carmarthenshire. Murdered by his butler. Friend of Andrew Crombie Ramsay.
