Henry Maurice Drummond
1814–96
Scottish ornithologist. Born Henry Maurice Drummond. Captain, Forty-second Regiment, 1832–51; commander, Perthshire Rifles, 1854–72. Collected and studied birds and plants during military travels in the eastern Mediterranean. Assumed the name Drummond-Hay in 1859.
