Optician and instrument maker. Apprenticed in 1812 to his uncle George Dollond (1774–1852) in the family optical business, which had been established in 1750. Inherited the business and changed his surname from Huggins, 1852. Business premises at 59 St Paul’s Churchyard and 61 Paternoster Row, London.
